Funny Mansion Names

In Japan they call an apartment building “mansion”. When my friend mentioned that the first time I was rather confused since he didn’t seem to be a very rich person. Of course there are many luxurious “courts” of apartment buildings, but they don’t have doormen, and most of the time they are pretty crappy looking.
As an added marketing benefit the owners feel entitled to add an instant upgrade with a name in a random foreign language to make it sound more fancy.
I always wanted to collect some of those obscure ones, and as I am learning japanese it makes a good practice to read the the alphabet that is used foe foreign names in Japanese.

An obligatory arch, mostly a simple metal beam, completes the entrance to “La Rivière” (the only waves nearby are the endless trucks on Kanana-dori), “one snowy morning” (a very white building), …
